Polyvagal Theory for Therapists - a series of 4 online workshops

Polyvagal theory is a new and empowering way of understanding human behaviour and trauma. It helps us understand that we are wired for connection and that we are automatically searching for the feeling of safety.

In this series of four workshops we will explore Polyvagal Theory, its scope and potential for development, and how it can be applied in a therapy setting.

We will offer new perspectives into client interactions and approaches to treatment, emphasising practical applications.

Sharing experiences and expanding on existing skills, the workshop series offers excellent cpd- and networking opportunities to both experienced and newly qualified therapists.

Please note that there will not be any recording available following the sessions. It’s important to be able to make it to all four sessions as you grow as a community and learn together. You will not be able to carry over any missed workshops to the next series.

By the end of the workshop series you will:

  • be able to apply basic PVT-principles to real life settings, both personal and professional.
  • be able to utilise simple resources and techniques that aid and support the promotion of the feeling of safety.
  • be able to add new layers of understanding to your therapy settings, offering deeper insight and support to your clients.
  • know where and how to further your studies into polyvagal theory and be able to continue your personal and professional development as appropriate.

This workshop series is for you if you are a therapist or a caring professional. You have emotional responsibility for others. You may be a teacher, a psychologist, a bodyworker, a nurse or a holistic therapist. You may be looking to gain a more integrated flow in your life, merging theory and practice and gaining a better worklife balance as a result. This workshop series is for you who are interested in exploring your role as a therapist and individual and wanting to grow.

You will be required to prepare in advance, so that you can participate fully in the workshop. Ingvild will email you some thinking points prior to each session. The workshops are deeply interactive, and what you bring to the session will influence the learning experience for the group. It is a requirement for the course to participate actively, with the camera on.

Please note there are limited places available for this workshop series. It will be run in English 🙂
